Observed by BicyclesOnly on Thu, Mar 22 2007

While the permits on the sedan appear more legit than those on the Jeep, neither car is entitled to park in this no standing anytime zone.

If nothing else, these "official parking" abuses are allowing any terrorist, ANY TERROIST the means to counterfeit and use official documents without question. Are we dropping the ball here?

Mayor Bloomberg: We need inforcement IMMEDIATELY because this IS an issue of Local Homeland Security.

Thank you.

And how many building code violations are there in this neighborhood, Mr. Good Citizen? better yet, how many rats feast on the garbage on that particular block?

I am working for the US Post Office ( mail carrier) so I think I know the problem.

These guy after a while looking for the parking space to no available so he parked illegal anyway to get in the office ontime. He displayed the USPS permit with the "fault" hope the Traffic Pollice won't issue a ticket. But trust me, we got the ticket anyway 100 % like every body else with or withourt the USPS permit. When I worked in Forrest Hill Post Office in Queens, I got about $700.00 parking ticket a year and two times my car was towed away for only one reason: to deliver the mails after more than haft an hour drove around looking for the legal space unavailable.

We do not abuse the USPS permit.

#3,

Could be. The Jeep has ~$300 in tickets, the sedan has none.

#3, if its so hard to park and you get ticketed despite the placard, why not take the train or bus?
