Fake Permit

Observed by Kat1202 on Fri, Jun 19 2009

All I have is that the car is usually parked on a fire hydrant. The address that is always park at is on Dewey and Quincy about 50-75 feet from 2829 Dewey Ave. I know that this permit is fake, is definetely a photo copy, It folds the fake permit, so you dont get to see the other nypd logo. the sealed that nypd puts is usually on the right side the one the is clear, and then the other part is just a shield with the NYPD logo.

If the placard is indeed fake(yes all TEA agents can tell) the auto would receive a summons. If on the off chance that it is real then you know what would happen. A hint is that my scan machine would never leave its holster. It is called courtesy and respect for a fellow law enforcement officer. In this case as in all cases involving a police officers, I would use discretion and it is perfectly legal.

Fake permits, even folded newspapers (no placard at all lol) gets you a pass in my neighborhood.

Another myth that some residual integrity is present within the NYPD when it comes to policing its own is shattered.

Save your propaganda for those with no real experience with your organization, Fuss.

I could not make sense of your entire diatribe, hiyall. What I do sense from what you posted is that your are perturbed that you are not part of the inner circle. The one constant that remains is that we do not summons our own and that's why this site exists for the sole purpose of complaining that regular civilians are entitled to a free pass as well. Sorry hiyall, but discretion and professional courtesy will never go the way of the dinosaur. I am allowed to pick and choose who gets a summons and who does not and until this becomes illegal, which I highly doubt, I will always give a fellow law enforcement officer a free pass. If you want to enjoy the privilege of professional courtesy then might I suggest you take the next TEA/DOT/NYPD exam.

Lol - take the exam for what? so that I can break the law with impunity while endangering others for my own personal convenience? - not any goal that I have ever sought or thought lofty!

Grow up - obey the law - enforce the law if you swore to - and everyone will be safer with a higher quality of life.

This is consistent with my many other posts - check them out. In addition, I also report those without placards, etc. when they break the law and/or endanger others. I do not make any distinction due to one's employer status.

The extension of professional courtesy is not illegal. When will you absorb the truth and accept it? There is no need to grow up when it is within my right to pick and choose who gets a summons and who does not. The sooner you get used to that fact the sooner that you will be able to live a healthier and more productive life. All this envy is consuming you and that is not healthy for the soul.

This is typical and I see no reason to not show the plate and the placard.

Showing the plate changes nothing. This site is not capable of shaming those in law enforcement into giving up their god given right of "DISCRETION". The site owner has no choice but to oblige with requests from the people who are posted here due to threats of litigation.

Parking in hydrants, crosswalks, bus stops and handicapped zones are unforgiveable unless it was a direct police response or emergency. I see no emergency there, NO PASS!!!
