with the lack of hubcaps and the nice dent, i would expect this to be an unmarked

Once again no proof but instead a vailed hint at it being an nypd unmarked car.
I am going on a limb here. This is one of those Hatzola wanna be cops who rig thier cars like cop cars and park where they like.
They get away with this because they have Bloomburg in their pockets.
I would prefer it to be an unmarked and not one of our restricted plates.
Brooklyn is of course infamous for the Hatzola VAS plates on what is otherwise a personal vehicle... you will also find them in forest hills and rego park in queens.
there is alot of abuse of those plates... and something that should be addressed by our wonderful state assembly... which gave those plates more perks then any other privately held plates or permits in this city
It's a normal plate and an apparently valid NYPD unrestricted permit. It's in a SEZ. But still, the reason it's marked no standing from 4-7 is because that's when traffic backs up. And the p.o.s.'s been sitting there for a while.
Maybe not a top priority, but I was getting the hydrant pic and threw this in.

Hmmmm...SEZ? Kind of explanatory and redundant is it not?

Salgoud,
By your own statement the reason for the No Standing Sign is because traffic backs up from 4-7. So therefore it seems it's not so much of a safety hazard.
It seems you think of parking a lot. You threw this one in with a hydrant violation. I don't get it. If the car isn't blocking your car or driveway, why do you guys worry so much about this?
NP sal... i stand corrected on the unmarked... and the VAS statement was just that, a statement in regards to a previous post.
we all have our pet peeves, and VAS abuse is one mine ;)

I think we should dress Salgood up in a meter maid's outfit and put him to work. 6:25 pm...snuck in half hour early...good going Salgood.

I wonder how many people think that every No Standing or No Parking Zone is totally necessary. Is it possible that some of these zones are set up for reasons other than safety or to permit traffic to pass?
Good point. My only contention is that the process for making that determination doesn't include me taking a sawzall to the sign any more than it includes permit parkers ignoring the signs with impunity.

Judging by the amount of entries to this site which have been scraped together by the actual site administrators and moderators, I believe it's fair to say that the pictures from the general public just aren't flowing in like water any more. If it wasn't for a diehard core group of people with cameras and not much better to do with their lives, this site would die out rather quickly.
