Observed by Dick Tracy on Mon, Mar 26 2007

Here she is again in her regular spot not outside a medical office for more than three hours with a bogus placard and a pile of meaningless papers on the dash.

Yes, but does she get tickets or not using the "bogus placard and a pile of meaningless papers on the dash?"

I'd like to know as I got lots of trash in my car.

This site is not resticted to civil servants however placards and plates when legitamate are government responsibilty.

I encourage all posters to file and follow up on 311 complaints when posting parking abuse on this site. This car now has a nice orange envelope under the windshield wiper.

I think this dentist needs to get a garage or use public transportaion.

I would think some of the readers of this site would be very concerned about security considerations of possible impersonation of officers. Not saying this person is willfully doing that, but there are a number of placards we see that are clearly fraudulent and fit that description. It would be in all our interest to see those cleaned up.

East 68th street is one of the most abused streets in teh city. The restricted parking signs are selectively enforced providieng a safe haven for scofflaws. This street was on the agenda of community biard 8 to be retunred top normal street parking (alt side) but the committe decided despite teh obvious evidence to give enforcement another chance to clean it up. The result is nill and naut and the street remains free reserved street parking for scofflaws.

There are very liberal rules for MD plates that allow for a three hour grace period, The problem is that enforcement makes no attempt to enforce these regulations. This Dentist from NJ has been abusing the lack of enforcement for quite some time.

Mr. Tracy, if you know that the driver of this car is a female, then just be a MAN and ask her what she is doing.

I would not encourage approaching people and getting into an argument. What she is doing is obvious and abusing her DDS plates and she knows it.

She got a long deserved ticket today and my guess is she wil fight it even though she knows she is in the wrong as she is a long time scofflaw.

well, if she parks in this area regularly, and she truly is a scofflaw... maybe the admins can forward this to the NYC Sheriff... if what she owes is towable this might be very correctable.

The silly thing about this particular street and side of the particular street is that the council member Dan Garodnick wrote the DOT and the DOT approved changing the restricted signage to alternate side after they evaluated the area as it is residential. Community board 8 elected to stone wall and continue more of the same.

This one falls directly on community board 8.

So MD's, NYP police on official duty with 75k escalades and a guy with a SEZ from the Bronx park here regularly along with Latte Lucy.

Correct me if i'm wrong admins, but a nypd official duty plate would be valid here. (what is the point exactly to posting what people drive? i see escalades parked in housing projects all the time... must be a sale on them or something)

from what i can see if this plate in the pic it is for a medical facility (possibly private)... it is not a valid permit in nyc... that does not make it fraudulent, nor is the possession of it a crime.

The issue is what offical duty keeps the car in the same spot on east 68th street for days and weeks on end?

She's not abusing the plate and it's not illegal. What's at issue is the phony trash-on-dash

If shes in a no parking zone for more than 1 hour, and not treating a patient in the immediate vicinity of the location she is parking illegally!

She uses this as a free all day free parking space. She goes home to NJ at night. It is like pulling teeth getting enforcement on east 68th street.

Numerous and repeated 311 complaints were required to get this car ticketed.

Typically despite the 311 complaint the NYPD claims the car wasn't there when they checked.

Just filed another 311 complaint. Problem is despite the complaint the 19th precint either claims ehen they checked the car was not there or no action was required.
