Ah he infamous 19th precinct commanded by the disingenuous ringmaster of privileged above the law behavior Inspector Murtagh. This is par for the course for them. They park illegally near the precinct, why not everywhere. Heck we are in the 19th.
No matter how one hates the commanding officer of the 19th pct, the car still does not get a summons. This is well within the self enforcement area of the 6th pct. His placard is good at any self enforcement area of any pct in NYC. The almighty parking permit allows the officer this luxury. GET USED TO IT.
It has nothing to do with hate in reference to Inspector Murtagh. I am disgusted by him and if he is supposed to be a representative of NY's finest, we are in bug trouble. He sets a standard of above the law behavior which makes things like this report no surprise. He is totally disingenuous and frankly a black mark on the city but he seems to fit right in with the status quo of the NYPD as this site clearly demonstrates.
