Daily abuse of permit
10914 Ascan ave, Queens. Observed by abuseonascan on Fri, Nov 13 2009
This car is parked daily on Ascan Ave in Queens between Queens Blvd and Austin St. where there is daily alternate side of the street parking and 2 hour meter. This car abuses their permit on a daily basis. They do not move it for alternate side of the street parking or pay the meter ever. Every time I say something to a traffic cop about it they say there is nothing they can do because it has a permit when you can clearly see that it is not here on official business considering it is here everyday.
On date/time picture was taken is a Federal holiday and all city agencies are closed hence should be ticketed on that day all day!!
using NYPD Parking permit to illegally park at meter
10014, Manhattan. Observed by skap6 on Mon, Jun 22 2009
The owner of this vehicle has been parking around the sixth precinct for more than a year without a front license plate and very darkly tinted windows (both NY violations.) I have sent three letters to the captain of the precinct with no action taken. It is currently parked on the east side of Hudson street between Charles and Perry at metered parking. Who is this guy that he can operate his vehicle without a license plate for more than a year without any consequence?????
Can not make out the permit number because the window is tinted very dark.
Have shirt – will park.

Overnight parking no meter receipt
8th Ave and 47th Street, Manhattan. Observed by hiyall on Sat, Feb 02 2008
This car has all sorts of stuff on dash from patches to expired meter recipts from Jan 20 to an American Legion Plate. Laughable, but effective as meter maids are give off limits zones it seems and therefore no summons likely
Overnight parking 47th and 8th Avenue

4 autos parked here this corner overnight without the meter reciept displayed on the dash but rather some official looking placard or patches. I spoke with a meter maid on a street near by, after overhearing her walkie talkie announce that 2 blocks were not to be patrolled. She stated that those who place a summons on vehicles with placards are routinely "punished" without any elaboration. This is arguably institutionally supported corruption.
Muni-Meter? What's that?
