One of those DoE teacher permits that the UFT claims is never abused, here seen being used to park illegally.

These types of permits will be invalid in a month, and only a greatly reduced number of DoT-issed permits will be valid for DoE employees to use. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

This is a chronic problem on this street.

These photos were taken on Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 at 5:23 PM. A black Cadillac with City Council plates and a "City Hall Parking Permit" was parked immediately beneath a no parking sign valid on that day from 8 AM to 6 PM. This was immediately outside Citibank on the west side of 31st Street, just south of Ditmars Boulevard. The car remained parked in this space for at least 20 minutes. This is not the first time I have seen the same car illegally parked in the vicinity. Unfortunately the sign is not visible clearly in the cell phone picture that I took, but I do have a closeup of the sign available if needed.

Running the motor, windows open, talking on phone. Obviously a major story is in the works from the driver of this oversized SUV, who probably wishes he were in Boulder CO where the action is at.

Here's a Pennsylvania vehicle with a 2001 MTA Transit permit for a Manhattanville location that we see in parked an 8th Avenue at 51 Steet loading zone.

There's not even a need for these NON permits to be current. A 2006 PBA card is apparently enough to allow these plumbers trucks free parking all day in loading, unloading zone – Week after week for about the last year.

In breach of oath, this shopper uses their authority to break the law, cause a safety hazard next to school, malls and merging traffic.
